Hello, my name is Audrey Worm and I am the
driver of the OutRunPD Parkinson's Awareness dragster that is owned by
the Leverich Family. We are racing at NHRA Mello Yello events this year
in the Top Fuel class, but more importantly, we are raising money for
the Michael J Fox Foundation to fight Parkinson's Disease (PD).
My life has been dramatically affected by PD as my Grandpa passed away
from complications of this debilitating disease after battling it for
over 2 decades. He lost his battle in 2010. Prior to his death, we had
the horrific news that my dad also had PD, as he was diagnoised in 2004.
When you hear the news, shock sets in, you go through denial, get angry,
and eventially try to figure out how to deal with it. For me and my dad,
we decided to fight it. Thank God we are not alone in the battle. Many
people have joined TEAM FOX to raise money for the greatest fight of
their lives.The Michael J Fox Foundation has the organization to put the
money raised into the battle where it is most needed. They are the
leaders in funding research for PD and have organized all of those who
want to beat this disease as TEAM FOX.
Our TEAM FOX Top Fuel Dragster is the OutRunPD dragster. I drive at
speeds over 300 mph and cover 1000 feet in less than 4 seconds, but the
only way we can OutRunPD is for you to join my crew. Any contribution
you make is important - It is the fuel we need to Outrun Parkinson's
Disease. My Top Fuel dragster won't run unless I fill the tank with
Nitro, and the doctors and research people can't find a cure unless you
